CLUSY

Meet CLUSY! We're the United Synagogue Youth group at  Congregation Beth Shalom! We like to have fun as you can see below with our Purim Minion shenanigans, but we also love to serve our community and give back to the world. Every month we volunteer at the HOPE Villages of America food bank, labeling, sorting and packing food that will be distributed to those in need. During Purim 5783 we organized a fundraiser and a food drive that raised over $200 and 134 pounds of food for HOPE!

We also know how to have fun! We have partnered with other youth groups in our community to host events that let our teens express themselves while also learning about Jewish customs and values like our Havdalla/Skyzone extravaganza! We participate in regional events including Yom Universal and regional/subregional conventions. We look forward to this year's regional convention at camp Ramah Darom and hope to see as many of our teens (grades 5-12) there!

On April 28 - 30 our USY chapter, CLUSY, traveled to Camp Ramah Darom as part of the Hanegev Regional USY Convention. The entire event was planned and run by the Regional Executive Board including our own Noah Liss. Sarah Lenett, Zander Weizman, and Noah Liss read from the Torah on Shabbat and Caleb Palmer delivered a wonderful D'var Torah. A special thanks to the Youth Scholarship Committee for making this amazing weekend possible!
