A. Matthew Rosen, Administrator

Administrator@cbsclearwater.org

Matt Rosen was born, raised and educated in Cincinnati, Ohio. After high school, Matt graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he shared the stage as Commencement Speaker with the famous astronomer, Carl Sagan. Matt later returned to the Cincinnati area and earned a legal degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law.

Matt Rosen’s career can be divided into three phases. Initially Matt worked in government as a
Legislative Assistant on Capitol Hill, Law Clerk to a Federal Judge and as Ohio Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division. The second phase of Matt’s career involved working with Japanese Companies which had expanded into Ohio. This included Fujitec America, Inc., a multinational elevator company, Mitsubishi Electric and THK Manufacturing of America. Since moving to Florida, Matt has served the not-for-profit community as Vice President and General Counsel of Lutheran Services Florida and as Executive Director of Learning Empowered, Inc.

Throughout his life, Matt has been strongly involved with his Jewish Faith. Believing that Judaism is a lifelong pursuit, Matt became a Bar Mitzvah at age 58, chanting the full Torah and Haftarah portions. He also served multiple terms as President of Congregation Beth Sholom in Gulfport, FL.

Matt’s most recent community interest includes Board of PEMHS of Pinellas County, along with advising non-profits in the tennis and arts communities. He has three children, all of whom live in South Florida. He very much looks forward to working with everyone involved with Congregation Beth Shalom.
