Hebrew High

Hebrew High has a new leadership component!

Grades 8-12 are welcome to attend morning minyan at 9am, followed by breakfast and study with Rabbi Dani/Jay Palmer.  The curriculum will focus on exciting topics, including:

~ Jewish History and Identity
~ Israel education 
~ Leadership skills

For the second part of the morning, High Schoolers will volunteer as Teaching Assistants in the classroom, with a variety of responsibilities that will include tutoring, leading electives, and supporting the teachers.

Hebrew High will meet once a month on Wednesday evening for pizza and discussion of hot topics with Rabbi Weizman/Jay Palmer.

Tentative Weekly Hebrew High Sunday Schedule, in accordance with the KA Calendar

• 9am: Morning Minyan (optional) in the chapel
• 9:45am - 10:15am: Breakfast or join in the KA Tefillah in the sanctuary
• 10:15am - 11:30am: Jewish Studies/Leadership Training with Rabbi Dani/Jay Palmer
• 11:15am - 12:30pm: TA report to the classrooms

Family Education Days have a different schedule for teens, geared towards volunteering and managing stations.

Asarah (10) Club

7th Grade and Up: "Asarah Club" Returns with new incentives and challenges (Asarah means 10!):

  • Attend 10 Hebrew High Sessions
  • Volunteer 10 Times
  • Master 10 synagogue skills (including Torah/Haftarah reading)
  • Attend 10 Programs
  • Attend 10 morning minions 

...and you will receive a gift card, a JNF tree will be planted in your honor, and you will be inducted in the prestigious Asarah Club!
