Yom HaShoah Commemoration

7:00 PM - 9:00 PMCBS SanctuaryOn Monday evening, April 17th, to begin the commemoration for Yom HaShoah, the Pinellas County Board of Rabbis along with the Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast invite the community to participate in an evening candle lighting service and program to remember the victims of the Holocaust. The program will open with a candle lighting ceremony in memory of the 6 Million, reflective readings, and the recitation of the memorial prayers unique to this occasion, led by the local rabbinic body. Following the ceremony, award-winning author and master storyteller, Roslyn Franken, will offer a presentation based on her noted book, “Meant to Be: A True Story of Might, Miracles and Triumph of the Human Spirit"
