7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Yarin Levin, 24 years old, released from duty as an officer and  preparing for academic studies at the Ben Gurion University.  His life took an unexpected turn when he became a part of the remaining dancers at the "Nova Festival". Little did he know that the night would evolve into a stark contrast from the usual, becoming one of the most unforgettable chapters of his life. Yarin, who had once reveled in the joyous atmosphere of gatherings, took on a role he never anticipated. Serving as an officer in rescue operations, fate led him to an unimaginable situation. At 7 in the morning, what started as a night of celebration turned into a harrowing experience. Gunfire and missile attacks pierced the air, disrupting the peace he had known just moments before. Amidst chaos, Yarin found himself guiding people to safety, trying to treat the wounded both mentally and physically and trying to stay alive. Blocked roads and danger all around, Yarin found himself starting to walk around 25km trek on foot to reach Kibbutz Patish. The weight of the situation became even more profound as he learned about the loss of his childhood best friend, a soldier who fought bravely in the battles of Kibbutz Kfar Aza trying to protect the advancing terrorists from reaching innocent families. Despite the personal tragedy, Yarin continued to display resilience. After a mere three hours of sleep, he headed to the reserve, driven by a determination to contribute in the aftermath of the catastrophe. His journey speaks not only of personal loss but also of the connections he had built with individuals on both sides of the conflict. Now, Yarin stands as a testament to the harsh realities of life, having experienced the fragility of peace and the cost of conflict firsthand. Requesting to be challenged by difficult questions, he seeks to showcase the gravity of the massacre, emphasizing that such events can touch anyone, anywhere. His story serves as a powerful reminder of the human toll in the face of adversity and the indomitable spirit that emerges from the depths of tragedy.
